The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 made some changes to the Clean Vehicle Credit.  This now expands to previously owned plug-in electric vehicles.

  1. It must be a “qualified manufacturer”
  2. You should search your vehicle make and model to see if it qualifies
  3. There are income limits set to qualify
  4. The credit is non-refundable meaning you must have a tax liability in order to get the credit
