What to Expect

We make the tax preparation process simple. The first step is to meet with you for a 30-minute initial interview. Please review our appointment checklist and medical checklist to make sure you’re prepared for the meeting.

At the meeting we will:

  • Ask you questions to make sure you get all deductions you’re entitled to
  • Look back two years to see if you are owed an additional refund
  • Make sure we have all necessary documents and information

Then you can leave the hard part to us! Our experienced preparers will prepare your federal and Illinois state returns with ease and call you once your return is ready to file. You will then stop in to sign and pick up your return.

If we feel a pick-up meeting is necessary, we will schedule a time to:

  • Review your return with you, make recommendations before we finalize and answer any questions you have
  • Have you sign the authorization to e-file your return
  • Offer a tax planning session between May 1st and December 1st to plan ahead for next year

We are here all year round for you. From May 1st through December 1st, we can assist you with:

Tax Prep / Amendment – $100.00 for after 4/15 filings

Didn’t file yet? Have past years to file or amend?  Missed a document when you filed?  (NOTE: Amendments on returns not originally prepared by us will be $125)

ID.Me Consultation – $50 per person

Everyone should have an ID.Me login. It will allow you to access your IRS records, retrieve IP PIN’s, check balances or set up payment plans.

Recent changes to Social Security will require you to log in with ID.Me to change your address, bank information or sign up for benefits.  Your only other option is to visit a local office.  We are offering assistance with setting up your account as it isn’t the easiest process, especially if you are not good with technology.
